A dancer is found dead. The killer will go to great lengths to avoid apprehension.

Deputy Jordan Branson is accused of murder in order to cover up a departmental investigation into his questionable behavior. He asks former Hollywood starlet, Sam Jones, to help him find the real killer.

The problem?

Sam isn’t sure she believes in his innocence.

She dives into the case anyway, but unfortunately, all clues lead directly back to Jordan.

Once Jordan’s arrested and proclaims his innocence once again, Sam’s determined to catch the real killer and continues to prod and question the rest of the suspects.

But will she uncover the truth before the real killer gets to her next?

Holiday Cozy Mystery!

I love Sam and Annabelle and this book, the 4th in the series, did not disappoint! I love how much Annabelle loves Christmas and her eccentric personality. Unfortunately, the most wonderful time of the year is not holly and jolly. Time for Sam and Annabelle to join forces with Jordan (especially since the flu takes out the sheriff's department) and help him solve a murder.I listened to the audiobook and it was excellent and easy to follow along. This is the 4th of 6 books. While I am happy to have read it, I am sad knowing there are only 2 more left in the series.

Audiobook- fun and entertaining

I listened to the audible version of this very good story and fun series. I really enjoy the narrator's voice. The story is fast paced with great main characters and several quirky ones throughout the plot. The Christmas setting is well described and the Mrs. Claus murder mystery has a few twists keeping the story interesting. I look forward to reading the next in the series wondering what lies ahead for Sam. Each book in the series is a standalone however I am enjoying following all the main characters' journeys in each book.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Cute Christmas Cozy

This fun Christmas Cozy mystery is a great new chapter in the Heywood Herbalist Cozy Mystery series. Daytime diva Samantha Rathbone has built a new life in smalltown Heywood Arizona. Only her best friend knows who Sam Jones really is. When Mrs. Clause is murdered it looks like the Heywood Christmas festival may need to be cancelled. The author has added a cute twist to the usual coy plot. Everyone but our cute deputy is down with the flu.Instead of being told not to investigate, Sam is asked to help. This book is a quick read and just as much fun as the earlier books. Since there is a recap at the beginning, it can be read a s a stand alone. Readers will want to know that the last chapter of these books are always a lead in to the next mystery.

Super quick fun cozy mystery

"Mistletoe and Mayhem" is the 4th "Heywood Herbalist Cozy Mysteries" by Carly Winter. They're all super quick reads but that doesn't deter from the story. I'm glad that despite their length there is some "time" between dead bodies. Other cozy mysteries that are short seem to have things happening within days of the previous book. That is not the case with these. I appreciate that. I also like that things are actually progressing with Sam's various relationships.
