I thought that the plot of this book was very well written and I couldn't put the book down. The storyline was written in a way that the reader felt like they were a character in the story. I cant wait for the next book to read. I love this author.

“Rosemary and Rages” by Carly Winter is the seventh installment in the murder mystery series “Heywood Herbalist Cozy Mysteries”, published by Westward Publishing / Carly Fall, LLC.
In the midst of a chaotic renovation, former Hollywood star Sam and her husband, retired police officer Jordan, are trying to transform their new home into a dream oasis. After Jordan’s enthusiastic, yet disastrous attempts to tackle the renovations on his own, they wisely hire a local construction crew, much to Sam’s relief.
One fateful day, while Sam is enjoying a leisurely lunch with friends, she calls Jordan from the local church, asking him to pick her up. He leaves Ian, one of the construction workers, at the house. When Sam arrives home alone, she stumbles upon a chilling scene: a vehicle in the garage, engine running, with the door firmly shut. The acrid fumes overwhelm her, and in a panic, she opens the garage door, then she bursts back into the laundry room, only to lose her lunch in a wave of nausea.
When Jordan returns, he finds Sam looking pale and shaken. As she struggles to explain what happened, he races to the garage, only to be confronted with an unimaginable horror—Ian, lifeless and nailed to the seat of the running truck. The shocking twist? Someone has cloned Sam’s phone! The call that sent Jordan to the church wasn’t from her at all; it was the killer luring him into a trap.
With the renovations on hold and anxiety creeping in, Sam can’t sit idly by—she decides to take matters into her own hands. The bubbling tension in the house is stifling, and she needs answers fast. Will Sam solve the murder mystery before Trevor, the town sheriff, uncovers the truth in 'Rosemary and Rage'?
Despite not having read the previous six books in the Heywood Herbalist Cozy Mysteries series, I found myself pulled into this riveting tale. I did wish for some background on Sam and Jordan, but the story stands strong as its own adventure. With its captivating plot and expertly crafted writing, I was thoroughly engrossed from start to finish!
